Happy Birthday Mikela

I can't believe that my baby turned 12 years old today! Don't know where the time has gone! Seems like just yesterday you were born. As of today, you are officially a "tween"! Makes me sad, but yet happy to see how beautiful you are becoming. Such a nice and polite young lady! It makes a Mom's heart swell with pride and yet ache for the baby you once was! I love you so very much my little Mikela Jean!

Spring, finally...

I have had these iris' planted for 3 years now and this is my first bloom. I was so very excited! I had to take pictures. I have a lot of other ones planted and I still don't know what color they are. I've got lots of buds, so it won't be long until I have lots of blooms!

Long time no blog...

I go quite awhile and not blog, but I will try to blog more than 2 or 3 times a year! ;)

Things are pretty calm in my household. My oldest daughter is getting ready to get her driver's permit. We got a new dog, his name is Bruizer. He's a chiuahua. He rules the roost around here, or at least he thinks so!

Well, I guess it's just gonna be short and sweet tonight. Gonna try to get to bed, kinda stormy here tonight, but I don't think we're supposed to get much severe stuff tonight, just a lot of rain.

River Fun...

We hadn't been to the river in a long time. Well, that changed today! We were going to go on our vacation the first week of July, but just didn't get around to it. So, today we went and had a blast! We didn't get a good swimming hole, but still got to wade and splash around.

Lacy had fun looking for snails!

She found one and thought it was cute!

We went and got sandwich stuff, chips and soda and had lunch in the shade on the river bank.

After today's trip we have all decided we don't need to wait so long to go have some fun at the river!!

These are fun...

I have made a few of these clips now. They are so much to make and so cute when they are done! And they make wonderful gifts! I gave this green and blue one to my MIL for her birthday and she loved it! I gave the brown one to my Meamaw and she loved it. I've got one made for my step mom and I'm gonna save it to give to her for Mother's Day. I'll put a pic of my girls in it and she'll love it too! I have made one for myself too. The first one I made I kept. I made it at my LSS's open house.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter to everyone out there! It is a very crisp, cool Easter morning here in Southern Missouri. But the sun is out and it's going to be a beautiful day! Every day is a beautiful day when you are able to get out of bed and feel good! This is something I am trying to do more of, being thankful for what I have and be glad that God provides my needs!! Because, you know he gave us the biggest thing he could on this Easter, he died for our sins and rose again!

Okay, so it's now been a year...

...since I have posted. But what a year it's been! I am now working full time at First National Bank. I got a promotion in September 2006. I am a Loan Secretary. I love it! I am hoping eventually to be a Loan Officer.

My children are a year older and so grown up now! 14 years and almost 11 years is not grown up, but it sure is flying soooo fast!

I've lost 40 pounds and have more hair now! The older I get, the harder it is to grow my hair out.

I have gotten so much inspiration to start scrapbooking again! Even been making a little money at it! Can't beat that, doing what you love and get paid for it! I've finished 2 or 3 albums and made lots of different stuff! I'll post some of my newest LO's later on, when I have more time.

Oh my goodnes...

I can't believe it has been almost 3 weeks since I have posted, shame on me! My job is going well. I like it and all of the people are wonderful to work with. I am getting ready to work at another branch for a couple of weeks. After I'm finished there, I hope to go back to the main bank to work permantly.

I had such a good day today! I have scrapped almost this whole day! I have started a small About Me album. I'm really having fun doing this. I hope to have it finished in a day or 2!

We had another round of storms roll through this afternoon. No tornadoes, thankfully! All of that weather stayed south of us. We did get a hard rain, a little wind and marble size hail. But that was it. I am not as terrified of the storms if they hit during the day because I can see what is coming. But when they hit at night I absolutely am pretty much scared to death, because I can't see what is coming.

Well, better sign off for now.

Well, it has been 4 months since I have had a "regular" job. I am starting a new job at the bank today. I am excited and nervous all rolled into one! :)

all is well...

Well, by the grace of God we didn't get any tornadoes last night. They were all around us. We had a couple of warnings and got a little bit of wind, rain, thunder and lightning. But nothing major! I don't have a basement, so I always go to my church basement. I watched the news this morning and there was so much damage. My heart goes out to all of the ones that had there home destroyed! I am so thankful that we didn't get any!!

This is pretty neat! I just kinda stumbled on this post on the MB at 2peas. Could be just the thing for me to practice my journaling! Here is today's question:

What is something that you do, or say, that when you are done you realize that you are just like your mother?

One of the first times I said to my girls "Because I am the Mom, that's why" I looked around to see if my Mom was standing around because it sounded just like her! :)

storms...

We are under a tornado watch until 10pm tonight. YUCK!! I am so very scared of storms. And of course I live in tornado alley! It has stormed for the last 2 nights and this outbreak is suppose to be one of the worse ones! It's times like these I need to live in Antartica, so I can be covered in snow, surely there aren't any tornadoes there! LOL
