Fall's coming...

...I love fall! Everything has a golden look to it. The air is cooling off and that is so refreshing after a hot summer!

Summer is winding down at our house. We had a wonderful trip to the lake the weekend before school started. Our first trip and we will be definately going back!!

Love the sunset on the lake!! Can't wait to see it again!

Summer...

...is flying by so fast! We've already had our vacation, didn't do anything spectacular, well, Mikela did, she went to New Mexico.

But the rest of us didn't. But that is okay, just laying around for 9 days was wonderful. We sure didn't want to go back to work!

My girls made these wooden planters in Bible School. I love them and my flowers are doing great!

Happy Birthday Mikela

I can't believe that my baby turned 12 years old today! Don't know where the time has gone! Seems like just yesterday you were born. As of today, you are officially a "tween"! Makes me sad, but yet happy to see how beautiful you are becoming. Such a nice and polite young lady! It makes a Mom's heart swell with pride and yet ache for the baby you once was! I love you so very much my little Mikela Jean!

Spring, finally...

I have had these iris' planted for 3 years now and this is my first bloom. I was so very excited! I had to take pictures. I have a lot of other ones planted and I still don't know what color they are. I've got lots of buds, so it won't be long until I have lots of blooms!

Long time no blog...

I go quite awhile and not blog, but I will try to blog more than 2 or 3 times a year! ;)

Things are pretty calm in my household. My oldest daughter is getting ready to get her driver's permit. We got a new dog, his name is Bruizer. He's a chiuahua. He rules the roost around here, or at least he thinks so!

Well, I guess it's just gonna be short and sweet tonight. Gonna try to get to bed, kinda stormy here tonight, but I don't think we're supposed to get much severe stuff tonight, just a lot of rain.
